GDP growth among 23 economies in the Europe and Central Asia region in 2023 will reach maximum values in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan - 5.1% and 6.5%, respectively, Repost.uz reports.
Overall, economic growth in the Europe and Central Asia region will increase to 1.4% in 2023, according to a World Bank report.
The World Bank predicts that in 2024 and 2025 the economy of Uzbekistan will grow by 5.4% and 5.8%, respectively.
Earlier, the Agency on Statistics of Uzbekistan reported that in the first quarter of 2023, Uzbekistan's GDP amounted to 198.4 trillion soums, an increase of 5.5% compared to the same period last year.
The volume of GDP per capita amounted to 5.5 million soums. In January-March 2022, the indicator was at the level of 4.7 million soums.
