Senior officials from the US Treasury Department will visit a number of European countries in the coming two weeks, including Switzerland and Austria, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, as part of the work to stop ways to bypass anti-Russian sanctions, RIA Novosti reports citing the US Department.

US Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Brian Nelson will visit Zurich and Bern, Milan, Vienna and Berlin on April 16-22. Assistant Finance Minister Elizabeth Rosenberg will visit Astana, Almaty and Bishkek April 23-28.

"The US Treasury is offering a clear business solution: stay engaged in the global economy or provide material support to the Russian war and lose access to the world's most important markets," the statement said.

Nelson in Europe will meet with officials, financial institutions and other companies that continue to interact with Russia. Previously, he traveled to Turkey and the Middle East, including the United Arab Emirates, for the same purpose.

In Central Asia, Rosenberg, along with US Commerce Department emissaries, EU and UK counterparts, will meet with local government and business representatives to discuss sanctions compliance and counter circumvention in trade and related financial transactions.
