Turkey accounts for 95% of investments from the countries of the Organization of Turkic States. This was reported at the Kazakhstan Institute of Economic Research, Kazpravda.kz reports.
"From 2005 to the 3rd quarter of 2022, the gross inflow of foreign direct investment into Kazakhstan from the countries of the Organization of Turkic States amounted to $ 4.8 billion, of which 95% falls on Turkey. In 2021, the volume of FDI from the countries of the Organization of Turkic States reached its maximum annual value - $703.3 million, and for the 3rd quarter of 2022 - $347.7 million.
Turkish investments are mainly represented in the trade and hotel sectors of the economy. Moreover, in the hotel business, Turkish investors in Kazakhstan take second place after the UAE.
