According to the results of four months of 2023, Kazakhstan is among the three main foreign trade partners of Uzbekistan, Kazinform reports.
In January-April 2023, foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan with other countries amounted to $19.6 billion and increased by $2.3 billion, or 13.4%, compared to the same period last year, according to a report by the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
The largest volume of foreign trade turnover was recorded with China - $3.3 billion (17% of the total), Russia - $2.9 billion (15.1%), Kazakhstan - $1.5 billion (7.7%), Turkey - $1 billion (5.4%) and the Republic of Korea - $0.8 billion (4.1%).
In the structure of the total trade turnover, Uzbekistan exported goods to Kazakhstan for $426.8 million, while imports amounted to $1,080 million.
In 2022, bilateral trade between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan reached the milestone of $5 billion.
