The current authorities in Kabul will not allow its territories to be used against the interests of Russia and the states of Central Asia.

This became known following a meeting between Russian Muslims and Afghan Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Kabir, Sputnik reports.

According to Magomedbashir Albogachiev, adviser on international cooperation at the Foundation for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education, who was present at the meeting, it was these words that the Taliban representative asked to convey to the Russian leadership.

"Abdul Kabir said that Afghans are people of their word and will never sell themselves for US dollars," he added.

Albogachiev said that the interlocutor motivated this by the fact that "Afghanistan is extremely interested in fully establishing trade and economic ties with Russia."

At the same time, Kabir noted that there is currently no clear logistical route between the parties, which complicates trade contacts.
