Tajikistan has increased imports of Russian timber. This information was disseminated by the press service of Roslesinftorg.

In the first 2 months of 2023, the supply of Russian timber to Tajikistan increased by 1.4 times and reached 67 thousand cubic meters, the report said.

Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Zhuravlev said that the volume of trade between Russia and Tajikistan could double in the next two years and reach a record level.

Moscow is interested in export deliveries of industrial goods and equipment to Tajikistan, and Dushanbe, in turn, seeks to promote its agricultural products to the Russian market, the Russian senator noted.
