The Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan and the Chinese company "China Road and Bridge Corporation" signed a contract for the construction of roads and bridges in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) of Tajikistan as part of the fourth stage of the project "Improvement of regional communications in Central Asia (BRAMOM-4)", Avesta reports.
Within the framework of the project in GBAO, the construction of a bridge over the Gund River with a length of 200 meters, located in the city of Khorog, with the construction of roads connected with it, with a length of 1.1 km, is being carried out, and in the area of Barsem, Shugnan district, it is planned to build a 3.4 km, taking into account the construction of an avalanche corridor (550 meters long) and a bridge (82.3 meters long).
It should be noted that the total cost of the project is more than $31 million, and the construction period is 30 months from the date of commencement of construction.
Supervision of the execution of civil works under this project is entrusted to the leadership of the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan, the Project Implementation Unit under the Ministry and the joint consulting company ISAN Corporation + LLP M50 Consulting Group.
