The central theme of the extraordinary summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which took place in Ankara on March 16, was the fight against natural disasters and their consequences. The meeting participants discussed the main agenda and established a civil protection mechanism and the Turkic Investment Fund. In addition, representatives of the member countries made various proposals for cooperation.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev: to create a Systemic Cooperation Platform of the Organization to counter emergency situations.

Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev: to establish joint forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on the basis of a center in Alma-Ata, to take part in the international training camps "Kazkutkaru" ("Kazspasenie").

Mevlut Cavusoglu: expand cooperation on the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline project.

Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that after the improvement of legislation, Ashgabat could become a full member of the OTS.

The Organization of Turkic States is the new name of the Turkic Council founded in 2009. Until the 2020s, she worked mainly in the humanitarian and educational sphere, but with the new decade, Turkey is trying to increase the economic and political component of the association:

- a program of energy cooperation of the partner countries was signed;

- The Investment Fund of the Organization was established.

The Russian Information and Analytical Center at the Moscow State University, in addition to achievements, also noted the main problematic issues of the organization.

Despite Ankara's ambitious plans, the main problem of UTC projects has not been resolved - there is no one to finance them yet, writes Ia-centr.ru.

- Turkey does not have enough funds to solve its own economic problems, not to mention investments in the economies of partners;
- The Central Asian countries first of all solve their financial problems and rather consider the OTC as an additional tool for political bargaining with the main economic partners of the region - Russia and China.
