More than 500 foreigners hold leadership positions in Kazakhstan

Mostly people came to work in Kazakhstan from such countries as: China - 3,411 people, India - 1,685 people, Turkey - 1,523 people, Great Britain - 1,073 people, Uzbekistan - 769 people.

According to the permits of local executive bodies, 13,403 foreign citizens work in Kazakhstan. More than 560 of them hold senior positions. Such data was published by the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz reports.

“Among the permits to attract foreign labor there are the following categories: 565 permits for managers and their deputies (first category), 2,966 permits for heads of structural divisions (second category). The main part of the attracted labor force refers to the third (specialists) and fourth (skilled workers) categories - 7,199 and 883 people, respectively. Also, 391 people were involved in seasonal work, and 1,399 people as part of a corporate transfer,” the Ministry of Labor of Kazakhstan said in a statement.

“By types of economic activity, the largest number work in the construction industry - 5,494 people. (41%); mining and quarrying - 1,455 people. (eleven%); professional, scientific and technical activities - 995 people. (8%); manufacturing industry - 889 people. (7%); agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 641 people. (5%),” the press service of the Ministry of Labor informed.
