Kyrgyzstan and Kuwait have increased bilateral trade over the past year by 8 times, it was announced at the meeting of the Minister of Finance of Kyrgyzstan Almaz Baketaev with the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuwait Mohammed Jassim al-Hamad al-Sakr, reports the portal Economist.kg.
According to the results of 11 months of 2022, the volume of trade amounted to $3.4 million, it was noted at the meeting. The parties also discussed further goals for the effective development of bilateral relations.
Minister Baketaev noted that in the second half of 2023, a business forum with an exhibition of Kyrgyz domestic products will be held in Kuwait. An agreement was reached between the parties on the exchange of information on improving the investment climate in Kyrgyzstan.
Baketaev stressed that there are 37 joint Kyrgyz-Kuwaiti enterprises operating in Kyrgyzstan, which operate, including in the field of trade, animal husbandry, social services, construction, warehousing and storage of goods, real estate.
