President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana pointed out that the Kazakh economy is showing growth rates above the global level, despite the difficult situation in the global economy, Zakon.kz reports.
Speaking at the Council of Foreign Investors, which is taking place in Astana in parallel with the International Astana Forum, President Tokayev noted that disrupted supply chains, rising inflation and trade restrictions continue to affect global economic development.
"We can say that Kazakhstan has successfully adapted to external adverse conditions. In four months, our economy has shown real growth of 5%, which is three times higher than global growth. The main sectors of our economy also showed steady dynamics. Last year we attracted a record volume of foreign investment in the amount of $28 billion," said the President of Kazakhstan.
President Tokayev also drew attention to the fact that international rating agencies reaffirmed the investment rating of Kazakhstan.
