Half of investments in Uzbekistan came from three countries - Russia, China and Turkey

Foreign countries invested 270 trillion soums in Uzbekistan in 2022, Nova24.uz reports with reference to the Agency on Statistics of Uzbekistan.

According to the information, of these, the total amount of foreign investments and loans absorbed into fixed assets amounted to 112.2 trillion soums. $1 in Uzbekistan costs 11,402 soums at the official exchange rate of the National Bank of Uzbekistan. Almost half of the foreign investment in Uzbekistan came from Russia, China and Turkey, which accounted for 46.8% of the total investment volume.

The countries with the highest share of investment are as follows:

Russia - 20.3%;
China - 16.4%;
Turkey - 10.1%;
Germany - 6%;
Saudi Arabia - 6%;
USA - 3.8%;
Cyprus - 3%;
Italy - 2.4%;
Switzerland - 1.9%;
United Kingdom - 1.6%.

Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan began to receive more foreign direct investment. The country also rose in the ranking of economic freedom.
