President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received UN Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs Miroslav Yencha in Astana, inbusiness.kz reports.

The interlocutors discussed topical areas of practical cooperation between Kazakhstan and the UN, including within the framework of the activities of the Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia.

"Particular attention was paid to the prospects of establishing the UN Center for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan in Almaty," the report says.

Miroslav Enca highly appreciated the level of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the UN, as well as the ongoing political reforms in our country.
